05 Feb 2012 - Julius Maisei who paid his own expenses to compete in last year's Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will have them paid for this Sunday's race after his surprise second position on that occasion.
Maisei like so many other good African athletes particularly Kenyan marathoners currently around, found it took a bit of initiative to get into foreign races as he wasn't a sub two hours 10 minutes performer.
